Our Philosophy

Conventional Medicine, Holistic Approach

We integrate centuries-old natural, non-toxic therapies with current advances in health care, covering all aspects of family health care. We concentrate on the “whole person wellness”, and we individualize patient treatment while emphasizing prevention and self-care. BetterLiving MD attempts to find the underlying cause of the patient’s condition rather than focusing solely on symptomatic treatment. Your body has the inherent ability to establish, maintain, and restore health. A physician’s role is to facilitate and augment this process, identifying and removing obstacles to support the creation of a healthy internal and external environment.

An Illness does not occur without cause. Underlying causes of disease must be discovered and treated before recovery can happen. Symptoms are expressions of our body’s attempt to heal. We seek to identify and treat the root cause of an illness, rather than eliminate or merely suppress symptoms.

The multi-factorial nature of health and disease requires a personalized and comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment. We treat the whole person: physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental, social and spiritual. We take into account all aspects of one’s internal and external environment and customize a plan that is right for you. A physician’s major role is to educate and encourage the patient to take responsibility for his/her own health. At BetterLiving MD a physician’s role goes beyond an accurate diagnosis and filling of prescriptions; we work to create a healthy, interpersonal relationship with all of our patients. A cooperative doctor-patient relationship has inherent therapeutic value.

The ultimate goal of any health care system should be prevention. This is accomplished through education and promotion of life habits that create good health. Our physician assesses risk factors and hereditary susceptibility to diseases and makes appropriate recommendations to treat existing symptoms to avoid further illness. The emphasis is on building health as well as conquering disease.

Simply put...
